Slow and Steady

Well not much to report other than I am down .8 pounds! I am now at 191.4, so I will hopefully be well into the 180s when I visit my brother in 3 and a half weeks in west virginia!
this week I bought new running shoes, because my Shox were giving me shin splints.  I absolutely LOVE them!

Tonight, since it is a Bye week with Texas Tech football, my friends are hosting Alcohololypmics, I know such a college thing to do! haha  But I saved my weekly points for this! We are having a big beer pong tournament and it should be fun to have some quality time with my friends.  My friend Burt is my partner, we are team America.  Who can boo at America, right?! I will post some pictures tomorrow of our outfits, but just a small preview, Im wearing a cape, no big deal!
Tomorrow will be spent at the library because I have two test on Monday, back to back after a long day at work.  Should be super fun right? BLEH! but Monday night I really want to go to Zumba, so that I can relieve some stress.

Bad Weekend

So on Thursday I had a meeting to go to so I didnt make it to my WW meeting.  So I WI on my own scale at 192.4 so that is a loss of 1.2, yay!
But this weekend has been so bad.  Thursday we went to Chimy's,  a local college bar instead of going to Zumba becuase one of my good friends car was broken into that morning and she was having a rough day.  well I ate some of thier nachos, and I shouldnt have! I also had way to much to drink.  Friday night we went to a friends BBQ and I ate bad there also, ugh! but I didnt drink.  Yesterday, saturday, we started tailgate at 7 am and I drank way too much between the home made sangria I made and all of the beer from flip cup.  Partner this with not eating all day until 430, and you have a WASTED Jeanne.  I didnt even make it to the game, I went home and slept from 630 until 2 am, then from 4-9am.  Now I am studying all day for the 2 test I have. UGH! losing weight is so hard to do in college.
Goals for this week:
1. eat better, no more mcdonalds, like I just ate!
2. no more drinking, lay low this weekend, or drink soda when we go out.
3. Work out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday!
4. ROCK my Classics and investments tests!

Have a fabulous day Blogging world!

annnnnnnnnd....!!!

…IM BACK!

Well so much has changed since I’ve written on this blog, so this post is going to be pretty long.
Lets start from where I left off….

So at the beginning of August fly back to San Antonio, TX to be a bridesmaid in my long time friend’s wedding.  I had so much fun.  Friday we did the bachelorette party on the river walk down town.  We went to dinner and had DELICIOUS Mexican food then went to Howl at the Moon, which is a piano bar.  It was am absolute blast!

On Saturday we had the bridal brunch and the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  Sunday was the big day and we went to the reception site early to help decorate.  The decorating part was very easy because the bride and her mother are very OCD, so everything was VERY easy to set up.  We went to the church after to get ready and to calm the bride down.  Soon it was time for the ceremony, which was beautiful.  It was crazy to see a girl who I’ve known since kindergarten walking down the isle and making vows of marriage.  I am not anywhere near ready for this moment in my life but it kind of opened up my eyes that this would be happening soon, EEK!!
Bride and Bridesmaids!
quatro amigas por vida!

The next day my mom and me and Jessica went to IKEA in Austin so that I could buy furniture for my PRECIOUS new condo in Lubbock. I then went to the airport and flew back to Portland for my last 4 days of work.  My last week in Portland was a whirlwind of packing and rushing around getting things done.
On Friday the 13th there was an intern BBQ and afterwards one of the interns and I went to a winery in Hood River, OR called the Naked Winery, it was a blast! It was $5 for 18 different wines and they all have provocative names.  You should check it out!
The night my mom flew in to Portland to help me finish packing.  Bright and early on Sunday morning my mom and I started the long drive back to Texas.  On the First night we drove from Portland to Reno, NV.  The next day we drove to LAS VEGAS! My mom and I had a blast, I blew $100 on gambling we saw two shoes (Vegas the show and the Beatles tribute show) we had drinks, and ate out, and just had a lot of quality mother daughter time.  It is amazing how in just a few short years I have become best friends with my mom rather than just her daughter.  I definitely would be lost in this world with out her! (LOVE YOU MOM!)
me and Mom!

After 2 days in Vegas we hit the road again to get to Albuquerque, NM.  On Thursday August 19th, I was FINALLY back in Texas for good.  We got to my condo and started setting things up bought my new bed and just had some nice family time.  Friday is when I stared back to work on campus.  All of y friends were doing recruitment for our sorority (Alpha Delta Pi!) so I didn’t get to see many of my friends right away.  The following week (Aug 26th) I started my senior year in college, (EEK!!) It was definitely a scary thing; I am so close to living the ‘big girl’ life.  On the Saturday after school started we went out to celebrate one of my very very good friend (Blair) 21st birthday.  Her mom rented us a limo we went to on the border for drinks and dinner then to Louie Louie the local piano bar.  We all had a blast, and of course way too much to drink, but hey we had the limo to drive us home!

The following weekend we had our first football game against SMU (Southern Methodist University for those of you who aren’t from Texas).  We tailgated and then went to the game.  The officials were reporting that on the field it was 140 degrees.  Needless to say, my pasty self got very sunburned but we did win, and that’s all that matters, right?

This past weekend we had an away football game vs. New Mexico State, and we ate pizza (bad I know, you don’t have to tell me twice) and drank and cheered the team on.  We also won that game, yay WRECK ‘EM TECH!!
me and my Best Friend Trevor <3 :)

That brings me to this week.  I have studying to do but all I can think about is…. TEXAS TECH VS. U.TEXAS on Saturday.  We already have a plan, start tailgating at 7am until 2pm then bring a cooler and drink outside the stadium until 5 when they let us in and then cheer the team on when the game starts at 7pm.  It will be a long day but days like this are when I LOVE being a red raider.  I would not miss any game this season for the world, because it is my last football season as a student.

Did I miss anything….??
